The Shape of Light

The shape of light brings focus to a new era of street photography. Whilst known to be a genre of photography that encompasses a documentary approach of the world around us, this project was envisioned to break the conventions of the genre to produce fine art. The purpose is to utilise the focus of light, to highlight specific shapes and spaces. Making the streets appear unusual to how the eye understandings these areas. Black & White naturally allows contrast to be a key stakeholder within the photographs, drawing the audiences eye to the playful compositional techniques.
